Chamonix le pass

The Chamonix Le Pass, often known as CLP, grants access to some of Chamonix’s wonderful ski areas, situated at altitudes ranging from 1,000m to 2,500m. This pass makes an excellent choice for beginner and intermediate skiers as it covers various slopes, nevertheless it’s crucial to note that it does not include access to the Les Houches ski area or the L’Aiguille du Midi cable car, used for La Vallee Blanche.

Furthermore, if your skiing adventure falls within the following timeframes, you have the option to purchase an Early Bird Mont Blanc Unlimited pass at a cost equivalent to that of CLP passes:

  • From Saturday the 2nd January to Friday, 2nd February 2024, and Saturday, 16th March to Sunday, 5th May 2024.
  • Please bear in mind that the Chamonix Le Pass does not cover the ski and lift area of Les Houches.
  • Notably, the prices quoted include the badges, the number of days and the option to select insurance at a rate of €3.50 per day.
The Chamonix Le Pass offers unlimited access to the following Chamonix areas:
  • Le Brévent-La Flégère area (Chamonix)
  • Balme area (Tour – Vallorcine)
  • Les Grands Montets/Argentière (excluding the “top-top” cable car, which is temporarily closed)
  • Les Planards, Le Savoy, Les Chosalets and La Vormaine—family-friendly ski areas at lower elevations (subject to snow conditions)
Additional information:

Moreover, the pass provides access to the Chamonix Bus Shuttle service within the Chamonix-Mont Blanc municipality. Additionally, you have the option to upgrade your Le Pass ski pass to a Mont-Blanc Unlimited ski pass at any time by paying the price difference between the two passes of the same duration over the counter at each ski area, as it is not available online.

Each ski pass requires the purchase of a non-refundable rechargeable smart card priced at €3.00 per pass and notably, ski passes for durations of 10 days or more require a photo.

As for ski pass age categories, they include Baby (0-4 years, FREE), Children (5-14 years), Adults (15-64 years), Seniors (65-79 years), Veterans (80+ years), and Family (2 adults + 2 children, with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th child FREE, except for the purchase of a €3 badge for each family member).

Important points to remember:

Upon purchasing the pass, you’ll also receive a “badge” which serves as your pass card. These badges are mandatory and should be easily accessible for scanning at each lift and it’s advisable to keep them in a different pocket from your mobile phone.

Furthermore, all passes are subject to the terms and conditions of the Compagnie du Mont Blanc and are non-refundable once used. Therefore, we strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance to cover any potential risks related to your pass and holiday.

Additionally, any changes to your dates or arrangements may result in additional charges. Once you’ve acquired your pass, we’ll get in touch to coordinate its delivery either in person at the resort or by mail if there’s sufficient time before your scheduled arrival.

Lastly, please stay informed about the current COVID-19 regulations in France, as not meeting the criteria may affect your visit. Chamonix is a truly enchanting destination, and we eagerly anticipate your arrival! What’s included in this adventure? The Chamonix Valley, Les Brévent Flégère, Les Grands Montets (excluding the top cable car), and, most importantly, an abundance of FUN, LAUGHTER, and unforgettable SKIING or SNOWBOARDING experiences!
