Tips for an Amazing Skiing Experience

Best Times to Visit: Chamonix’s peak season runs from December to April. For the best snow conditions, plan your visit between January and March.

Gear Up: Ensure you have the right equipment. We recommend layers to keep warm and a good pair of ski goggles to protect against the alpine sun.

Safety First: Always check the weather conditions and avalanche warnings. Stay on marked trails and never ski alone.

For any queries or support, reach out to our customer service team at info@chamonskipasses.com or call us at +33 (0) 7 72 69 19 38. Check our FAQ section for quick answers to common questions.

For all 9 day or shorter passes, we send you the QR code by email so you can quickly grab your passes at the lift ticket machines all over the valley, 24 hours a day. For longer passes, which need pictures printed on them, we will hand deliver them to you or send them in advance.

You can look at all the pass options HERE and check out all the Chamonix ski areas on our comprehensive ski map section. We give you the best prices we can get given the complicated schedule that the lift company publishes and changes. We cannot though change the prices once you have purchased your Chamonix ski pass with us.

We also have a lot of local knowledge about the ski areas and the associated safe places to ski although if you plan to ski off piste, do please book a high mountain guide to keep you as safe as can be. We advise you book a guide for any off-piste skiing and always have a full avalanche pack (transceiver, shovel, probe & airbag) as well as the appropriate training to reduce the risks typical of high mountain off piste terrain.

For the most extensive skiing during your holiday, you might want to buy the Mont Blanc Unlimited Chamonix Lift Pass. This gives access to the ski areas of Courmayeur, Megève and St Gervais/Les Contamines, which gives you more than enough skiing and variety for any level of skier.

Even for the beginner skier it is a good idea to take the excursion to see the view from the l’Aiguille du Midi cable car on a sunny day or take a day trip to the other resorts. Chamonix Lift Passes offer these different options which are a great way to minimise the cost of your holiday!

Either way do give us a call to discuss your requirements, your experience, and objectives for your holiday in Chamonix. As they say around here, ‘have lift pass, will travel…’
